What started as a small passion project among friends who loved collector’s editions grew into Five Star Edition: an independent review site covering movie collector sets, gaming editions, deluxe books, figures, steelbooks, cards, clothing, music, watches and sports memorabilia. About the Author
Hi, I’m Marcos, the founder and editor of Five Star Edition. I’ve been collecting since I was a kid, starting with movie special editions and gaming collector’s boxes, and gradually expanding into steelbooks, figures, deluxe books, trading cards, watches and music box sets. That lifelong habit of comparing packaging, print quality, and extras is what led me to start this site.
Today I focus on the categories I know best: Movie Collector Sets, Gaming Editions, Deluxe Books, Figures, Steelbooks, Watches, Cards, Clothing, Music, and Sports memorabilia, with an emphasis on releases available in the US market. Every review is based on product research, spec comparisons, and, whenever possible, items I’ve owned or examined firsthand. My goal is simple: help fellow collectors avoid disappointing purchases and find editions genuinely worth their shelf space.
