Halloween: The Game Limited Collector’s Edition Review: Is It Worth $149.99?

$ 149.99

Is the Halloween: The Game Limited Collector’s Edition worth $149.99? A collector’s breakdown of the 8-inch Myers figure, the comic, the skins and what’s missing.

Category:  |  Franchise:

The Halloween: The Game Limited Collector’s Edition costs $149.99 and, once you strip it down, it’s an 8-inch Michael Myers figure with a PS5 or Xbox game attached. That’s not a complaint, but the in-game extras are thinner than the box art suggests.

Quick verdict: buy the Halloween: The Game Limited Collector’s Edition for the Trick or Treat Studios figure. If you only want the game and skins, the $39.99 Standard or the Digital Deluxe makes more sense.

What’s inside the Halloween: The Game Limited Collector’s Edition

According to the official physical editions page, the box holds the following. GameStop’s listing adds a second, collector-only poster, so you actually get two:

  • The full game on disc
  • 8-inch Michael Myers Shape Jump Variant figure by Trick or Treat Studios
  • Exclusive lenticular art
  • Two posters
  • Advance access to Clown and Samhain Myers skins plus four civilian cosmetics
  • “More surprises”, one of which is a physical copy of the tie-in comic

Gaming Nexus reported that the comic is written by Hans Rodionoff with art by Eamon Winkle. Next to the hardcover compendium in the Blood of Dawnwalker Collector’s Edition, the paper side here is modest.

The Shape Jump Variant figure carries the whole box

Trick or Treat Studios makes officially licensed Halloween masks and an 8-inch horror figure line, so this Myers should sit at the same scale as the rest of their range. The promo render shows a translucent, blue-tinted Shape with a raised kitchen knife and a tiny jack-o’-lantern.

The Halloween: The Game Limited Collector’s Edition ships October 27 and Nighthawk hasn’t published articulation, material or box dimensions; the render is even stamped “art not final”. So I haven’t handled or measured anything yet. If a game statue is your main reason to buy, weigh it against the Death Stranding 2 Collector’s Edition, which plays in a different price bracket.

How it compares with the Standard and Digital Deluxe editions

The jump from Standard to the Halloween: The Game Limited Collector’s Edition is $110. That buys the figure, lenticular, extra poster, comic, Samhain skin and two more cosmetics. Strip out the digital bits and it’s roughly $110 for a figure and some paper.

The Digital Deluxe went another way: early access from September 4, extra survivors and a Laurie Strode outfit, but nothing for a shelf. Plenty of fans bought both.

The Phantom Myers skin isn’t in the box

This one stung. The official page is clear that the Phantom Michael Myers skin was a digital pre-order exclusive, so no physical edition includes it.

The “advance access” cosmetics have a catch too: they can also be earned through in-game challenges. As delay compensation, Nighthawk adds three icons, three badges, three titles and 40,000 Perk Points. Unlike the 007 First Light Collector’s Edition, there’s no full Deluxe content bundled in.

Is the Halloween: The Game Limited Collector’s Edition worth $149.99?

For a Myers fan, yes. Pre-orders opened on July 7, 2026 and buyers on Reddit reported it gone at Amazon and Best Buy on day one. When I checked in October 2026, sealed pre-orders on eBay were listed between roughly $220 and $290, so paying MSRP is already the good deal.

For a player? Not really. It’s the same logic I applied to the Resident Evil Requiem watch: you buy horror merch for the object, not for the game.

Pros

  • Exclusive 8-inch Trick or Treat Studios figure
  • Physical comic that Deluxe owners only get digitally
  • Resale value has held well above MSRP so far

Cons

  • No Phantom skin and no Digital Deluxe content
  • Advance-access cosmetics are earnable in-game
  • No figure specs published before launch

What collectors on Reddit are saying

A thread titled “Collectors Edition is the biggest letdown ever” pushed back on the price of the Halloween: The Game Limited Collector’s Edition, and a 90-plus comment post called the “more surprises to come” line suspicious on r/HalloweenTVG.

Then came the delay to October 27, which Nighthawk blamed on shipping. Over on r/Halloweenmovies, one fan put it bluntly: you’re basically paying $150 for the action figure. I agree.

Our Take

What I like most about the Halloween: The Game Limited Collector’s Edition is that the figure comes from a studio with real Halloween credentials, and the physical comic is a fun bonus. The digital side feels like an afterthought for $149.99.

It’s for the slasher shelf crowd, the people who already own the 80’s Horror 5-Film SteelBook set and want Myers standing next to it. It’s PS5 and Xbox Series X only. Did you grab one? Tell me in the comments what you’d have added to the box, or what you think is missing.
